SSC CGL Admit Card 2026: Current Status
SSC published the Tier 1 schedule notice on 12 September 2026: SSC CGL Tier 1 2026 runs from 30 September to 30 October 2026, as a computer-based test with three to four shifts a day. Two documents follow. The city intimation slip, expected around 21–22 September, tells you your exam city and date. The admit card itself is expected around 27 September, roughly three days before the window opens, and is released region-wise — so candidates in different regions get theirs at different times. Everything happens on ssc.gov.in and the regional SSC websites linked from it. SSC does not announce release dates for either document in advance, so the September dates here are the pattern from previous cycles, not announcements.

How to Download the SSC CGL Admit Card
Once your region releases it:
- 1Go to ssc.gov.in and click the Admit Card tab on the homepage.
- 2Select your SSC region — the page lists all regional websites; pick the one you applied under.
- 3Click the link for Combined Graduate Level Examination 2026 Tier 1 status/admit card.
- 4Enter your Registration ID / Roll Number and Date of Birth (or password).
- 5Your application status and admit card appear — download the PDF and print two copies.
Why Your Friend Has Their Admit Card and You Do Not
SSC releases admit cards region by region and date by date — a candidate with an earlier shift in another region can have their admit card while yours is not out yet. That is normal. Track your own regional SSC website (linked from the Admit Card tab on ssc.gov.in) rather than relying on social-media release announcements, and check your application status there if you are worried.

The admit card decides your exam day logistics — check every field the moment you download it:
- 1Name, roll number, photograph, and signature match your application.
- 2Exam date AND shift — Tier 1 runs in multiple shifts across several days; read yours carefully.
- 3Reporting time — entry closes before the exam starts.
- 4Venue name and address — do a route check before exam day, not on it.
- 5If anything is wrong, raise it with your regional SSC office immediately using the contact details on the regional website.
What to Carry on Exam Day
A printed admit card, an original photo ID (carry the same ID you used in the application if possible) with a photocopy, and passport-size photographs. Follow the admit card’s own instruction list for anything else — and leave electronics, calculators, and study material at home or outside the centre.
While You Wait for Your Admit Card
Your exam date can fall anywhere in a month-long window, so train as if yours is in the first week until the city intimation slip tells you otherwise. Once you know your shift, practise at that time of day — a 9:00 am paper and a 5:15 pm paper are different exams for the same brain.
